"Doc" for many years, the "Senate Leader" of
the Michigan Jaycees and Senators. At State meetings Jaycees often met the Short man
in the cowboy hat and 20 name tags telling the Senatorship story. "Doc" was promoting Senatorship's around the state long before the Michigan Senate was organized. After several years of attempting to resign, he thought of impeachment promotion to increase turnout at meetings and select a successor. It worked so well that 3 three men stepped forward to run for President and the Michigan Senate was formed in Grand Rapids. "Doc" also was a Doctor of Medicine. Thanks for the memories. |
