| Well, this is it - my last
time reporting to you as your President. It's been quite a year! Starting
in May at Treetops, (who can forget that meeting!) through this past
Saturday in Kentwood, every step has been special. I'm not big on this
stuff, but let's get to it.
Thanks to everyone that served with me, Lloyd Rich, Brian Klinge, Denny Kester. You made it easy for me this year. You have been there the whole year, and made me look much better than I should. Special thanks to Marie Chabotte - every month she was bugging us to get our articles in, and then she put out a great newsletter! Couldn't have asked for more, and we are so lucky that she has agreed to take on this major project again this year. Having done the Filibuster myself, I know the work that goes into it. Thanks also, to all of the chairs of projects this year - yet another great Renaissance Festival - Denny Acre, Woodward Dream Cruise - Pat Malac, Golf Outing - Steve Fortuna, Post Holiday Party - Denny K, Elections Meeting - Lloyd Rich as well as Return the Favor - Tony K, First Timers - Scott Greenlee, Hospitality - Bill Beddoes and Mentors Collections - Wendy Klinge. |

You all made it look so easy! And also, thanks in
advance to the entire Crusin' 2003 Committee - Pat Malac, et al.
The work you all have put in already is unbelievable, and I know we are
going to have one great convention!
Special thanks go to Chris Orem, my Region VP. You were there for guidance when I needed you, and always there as a friend. Also to my friends and fellow presidents from the Region - JoAnn, Brownie, Jerry, JeNie and Rockne, you have all been great friends this year. And the most special thanks go out to my First Lady, Linda. You have been there every time I needed you, and have supported all of my efforts. There is no way I could have done any of this without you! Looking forward to the 2003-04 year, things look great. Lloyd has his team together, and everything should just keep on rolling. If you missed it, Lloyd A. Rich is our 31st President. His VPs are Brian Klinge - Programming and Mary Kamsickas - Communications. Our Secretary is Marie Chabotte and our Treasurer is Denny Kester. I know all of you will do a great job! Before I close, I hope all of you will keep our members we have recently lost in your prayers. We lost Roger Colbert this week. Roger is from Illinois, and was also a Michigan member. We also lost Ken Campbell from Union Lake. While not an active Senator, many of you knew Ken. Any loss is hard, but it hurts even more when it is one of our own. Please keep their families in your thoughts and prayers. In closing, it has been my honor to serve you this year. I hope my efforts have been up to your expectations. You have all been so helpful, thanks so much. I look forward to continuing to work with all of you, and keeping our traditions alive. Best of luck to Lloyd and his board, I know they will do great! |
